Do I need a boating license?
Florida law requires some riders to complete a boating safety test before operating a Jet Ski. Please visit our Boating License Information & FAQ page for full details and requirements.
What is the minimum age to drive?
Dolphin Tour drivers must be at least 18 years old to operate a jet ski. Four our unguided rentals you must be 21 to drive. We recommend passengers be at least 5 years old so everyone can safely and fully enjoy the experience.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A refundable damage deposit is required upon arrival:
• $250 for guided tours
• $350 for unguided rentals
The deposit must be placed on a valid debit or credit card (no cash accepted).
This hold is applied at check-in and is released once the Jet Ski is returned on time and in the same condition it was rented.
When should we arrive?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to complete check-in, safety instructions, and boarding.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. Same-day reservations are non-refundable. If we determine that weather conditions are unsafe, you may choose to reschedule or receive a refund. However, once a tour departs, no refunds are given, regardless of weather conditions after departure.
What happens if I arrive late or do not show up?
No-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable. If you miss your scheduled departure time, your reservation will be forfeited without refund.
Is experience required to operate a jet ski?
No prior experience is needed for our partially guided dolphin tours. Our guides provide operating instructions and lead the route so beginners can ride with confidence.
For unguided jet ski rentals, previous experience is required to ensure safety and comfort on the water.
How far is Shell Island from here?
Shell Island is only about a 10-minute ride from our dock, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the water and less time traveling.

We did the dolphin tour and it was fantastic! Extremely close up to them. Captain Illinois was a phenomenal guide. he made things fun, great communicator, kept everyone safe. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Lots of individual play time on the second hour. I’ve been a boater my entire life and would recommend these guys over the gulf beach rental companies any day.
